The Director, Information Systems Security will serve as a central point of strategic planning, coordination, and execution of cyber and information security activities across the company. The role will be part of the ByteGrid Hosting Services organization, reporting to the CTO, and will directly manage the security engineering team.
Cybersecurity has evolved to be much more than traditional "IT security", as such the Director, Information Systems Security will work across multiple divisions to bring a holistic approach to the company's information security initiatives. This will include a cybersecurity awareness culture by creating and further enhancing engagement awareness programs that reach through the company. The specific duties as a Security Analyst will include:
- Security Analysts are expected to handle day-to-day tasks involving SOC monitoring, incident analysis and investigation, and provide recommendations for remediation as well as short-notice ad hoc work, and see them through to completion with minimal supervision.
- Security Analysts provide critical value to the SIEM management service, leveraging extensive knowledge to provide context to events.
- Security Analysts provide recommendations for remediation actions and suggestions for implementing best practices and improving standard processes and procedures.
- This position requires occasional weekend work.

ByteGrid is seeking System Administrator/NOC Technician candidates. Successful candidates must be comfortable installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Linux and Windows Servers in production or development environments. The ideal candidate is experienced in a wide spectrum of related technologies including TCP/IP networking, scripting, system backups/restores, system documentation, datacenter management, datacenter procedures, and network/server monitoring.
Requirement Qualifications include: at least 2 years' experience as a Linux systems administration preferred or equivalent level training and or experience but not a requirement; experience using and supporting Windows-based technologies; understanding and basic knowledge of network and TCP/IP technologies; experience installing and troubleshooting computer peripherals; excellent customer service and communication skills; knowledge and experience editing HTML and CSS; experience with building virtual Linux servers with VMware; understand Systems administration concepts of HTTP, SSH, FTP, POP3, SMTP and DNS are major pluses.
Preferred Qualifications include: experience providing Tier I IT service desk support and tracking requests via a ticket system; basic configuration of Cisco switches; building and racking server hardware in a datacenter environment; aptitude to rapidly research and learn any required skill or subject.
