The BYTEGRID Business Development Executive (BDE) is an outside sales role assigned to a local geographic market. The Business Development Executive will be responsible and accountable for driving sales for new business and existing customers with a heavy emphasis on new business. The Business Development Executive will represent all of BYTEGRID's products and services including colocation, managed services, cloud, and compliance. Develops and maintains the various backup toolsets (e.g. Commvault Simpana / Acronis Enterprise including the Backup Area Networks (BANs). Responsible for maintaining and administering the performance, integrity and security of the backup infrastructure environment(s). Expected to conduct system analysis and development, with limited support and direction from professional staff, to keep systems current with changing technologies. Generate and forecast daily backup reporting for clients and management review.

Successful candidates must be comfortable installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Linux and Windows Servers in production or development environments. The ideal candidate is experienced in a wide spectrum of related technologies including TCP/IP networking, scripting, system backups/restores, system documentation, datacenter management, datacenter procedures, and network/server monitoring.

Requirement Qualifications include: at least 2 years' experience as a Linux systems administration preferred or equivalent level training and or experience but not a requirement; experience using and supporting Windows-based technologies; understanding and basic knowledge of network and TCP/IP technologies; experience installing and troubleshooting computer peripherals; excellent customer service and communication skills; knowledge and experience editing HTML and CSS; experience with building virtual Linux servers with VMware; understand Systems administration concepts of HTTP, SSH, FTP, POP3, SMTP and DNS are major pluses.
Preferred Qualifications include: experience providing Tier I IT service desk support and tracking requests via a ticket system; basic configuration of Cisco switches; building and racking server hardware in a datacenter environment; aptitude to rapidly research and learn any required skill or subject.
